ESPN Magazine to go out of print
Walt Disney will publish in September a final print version of ESPN Magazine, ending a run of more than a decade under Bristol-based ESPN in which Hearst Corp. holds a minority stake. Disney stated it may continue publishing in print ESPN Magazine’s annual “Body” issue which depicts famed athletes in the nude. Earlier this year, Meredith Corp. confirmed it was soliciting buyers for Sports Illustrated, as pressure for viewers and ad dollars increases from alternative online publications like The Athletic and Barstool Sports.
