Cengage merging with McGraw-Hill
Textbook giant McGraw-Hill is merging with the online curricula developer Cengage, which formerly had its headquarters in Stamford. Cengage offers educational ebooks, online study guides and a homework platform, with the company spun out of Thomson Learning in 2007 and having its main office in Stamford through 2014 before moving it to Boston. Cengage CEO Michael Hansen will lead the combined company, which will have nearly $3.2 billion in combined revenue.
