ANNUAL LGBTQ+ PARADE RETURNS ⏩ THIS WEEKEND
The Bethel CT Pride LGBTQ+ Parade returns Saturday. Saturday’s parade, which is free and open to the public, marks the third annual pride parade for the organization in Bethel. The parade is set to kick off at noon at the Bethel Municipal Center. The event, which runs until 5 p.m. and was founded by middle school students in 2017, is meant to celebrate equality and support the LGBTQ+ community.
A family friendly celebration will be held after the parade, with live music, kids activities, vendors, food trucks and more. The celebration goes on rain or shine, with events moving inside if weather is bad.
Bethel CT Pride has gained support and sponsorship from 10 local businesses, which are running promotions parallel with the parade to raise money for Bethel CT Pride, the organization said.
After the parade and events, an after-party for people over the age of 21 will be held at Note Kitchen & Bar on Greenwood Avenue from 9 p.m. to close.
