David Pindell wasn’t taken in the NFL draft, but he is certainly on the radar of NFL teams.

It was previously announced that the former UConn quarterback would take part in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie camp. First things first as Pindell is currently at rookie camp with the Minnesota Vikings along with fellow former Husky Kyle Buss.

The most interesting part of Pindell’s multiple invitations is that they come at different positions. He is expected to be looked at as a wide receiver by the Buccaneers, but he is listed as a quarterback on the Vikings’ rookie camp roster. Pindell should get plenty of work as the only other quarterbacks in camp are undrafted free agent Jake Browning and fellow rookie camp invitee Sean McGuire.

Pindell is coming off a season when he led all FBS quarterbacks with 1,169 rushing yards as a senior while the other two quarterbacks heading to camp combined for 146 rushing yards during the 2018 season.

Multiple invitations to rookie camps are not unusual. Obviously if the Vikings sign Pindell as a free agent he will no longer be among the participants at Tampa Bay’s rookie camp.
