Medicare for all affected by private insurers
Perhaps a “public option” Medicare plan has some benefits as mentioned in “Murphy rolls out ‘public option’ Medicare plan” in a recent newspaper.
But, it would have added momentum and credibility to “Medicare for all” if Sen. Murphy had mentioned how private insurers have transformed medicine from a noble profession dedicated to acting in patients’ best interests, to one that is coerced to act in insurers’ best interests.
Patients know it, doctors know it, nurses know it.
Why don’t our leaders know it?
