‘Spies in Disguise’ pushed back 3 months
Walt Disney has pushed back the release date to Christmas for the Blue Sky Studios animated feature “Spies in Disguise” after Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox and its Blue Sky house in Greenwich. On Tuesday, Burbank, Calif.-based Disney updated its target theatrical release schedule through 2027, disclosing plans for three new films in the “Star Wars” pantheon and pegging to 2021 the first of four “Avatar” sequels that will hit theaters every other year. The Disney-Marvel film “Avengers: Endgame” has grossed more than $2.2 billion in two weeks.
