Ex-Husky Summers signed by Dolphins
Former UConn defensive back Jamar Summers was one of three players signed as free agents by the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Summers took part in Miami’s rookie camp on a tryout basis and the team announced that Summers, along with former Purdue offensive lineman Kirk Barron and former Miami running back Mark Walton, have all been signed.
Summers is set for his second NFL training camp. He was with the Steelers during the 2018 preseason when he had seven tackles while playing in four preseason games. Summers earned the tryout with the Dolphins after a strong showing with Birmingham in the Alliance of American Footbal League. Summers started seven games, had 20 tackles and three interceptions.
