ONE INJURED WHEN CAR CRASHED INTO HOUSE

One person was sent to the emergency room after a car crashed into a house at the intersection of Golden Hill Road and Oak Street on Monday.

The accident involving a black 2013 Volkswagen Passat was called in at 2:54 p.m.

The car went down a “steep embankment” before hitting the house, and a flatbed — “maybe two trucks” — would be needed to pull the car out, responders on scene said.

It is unclear whether anyone was inside the home at the time of the crash.

The injuries of the person transported to the hospital were not specified. No further information was available.
