The Hartford gets the OK for Navigators deal

The Hartford Financial Services Group expects to complete on May 23 its acquisition of the Stamfordbased specialty insurance underwriter Navigators Group, after reporting on Thursday it has lined up all regulatory approvals from government agencies. The companies announced the $2.1 billion deal last August, with Navigators having moved its headquarters to Stamford five years earlier from Rye Brook, N.Y. after the state of Connecticut offered $11.5 million in incentives for the company to bring 200 jobs over the border.
