- — jperkins@newstimes.com

The stories of local residents who sacrificed their lives for their country will be on display at Brookfield Museum for the next two weekends.

The annual exhibit features the 44 Brookfield residents who died during the nation’s military campaigns from the American Revolution to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

In the exhibit is a photograph of Staff Sgt. George Rajcula, who was killed in World War II while on a bombing mission over Germany. His sister-in-law, Elaine Rajcula, still lives in Brookfield.

The Brookfield Historical Society is hosting the exhibit from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. May 25 and 12:30 to 3 p.m. May 26.
