Study: State’s beer industry taps 21K jobs
Beer brewers, distributors and retailers contribute $3.1 billion to Connecticut’s economy annually and nearly $600 million in tax revenue, according to a study published with the support of two industry trade groups, while supporting more than 21,300 jobs. John Dunham & Associates extrapolated the estimates from federal data as part of a national study backed by the Beer Institute and National Beer Wholesalers Alliance. Nationally, the industry employs 211,000 people directly, researchers found.
