- News@theridgefieldpress.com

After three listening sessions in front of town officials, the Planning and Zoning Commission is ready to hear from the public on the 10-year update on the Plan of Conservation and Development.

The zoning commission, which doubles as the town’s Inland Wetlands Board, has scheduled a public input meeting for the POCD from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on June 18.

The meeting will take place in the town hall annex, 66 Prospect St.

“The updated plan will look 10 to 20 years into the future and recommend policies and actions that are intended to guide local efforts, enhance the community, and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors,” said Assistant Planner Daniel Robinson. “What should we try to preserve or protect? How should we try to guide growth or change? What services and facilities do we want or need?”

Residents are asked to RSVP. For those who can’t attend, submitted written comments can be sent to the Planning and Zoning Department at the Town Hall Annex or via email at planning@ridgefieldct.org.
