Apple announces iTunes split
Apple announced plans on Monday to split its pioneering iTunes app into separate Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV services, among a bevy of revelations at its annual developers conference in San Jose, Calif. Apple unveiled a new macOS operating system designed to allow people to use iOS apps for mobile devices on standard computers and laptops, as well as new Sidecar software that allows people to use an iPad as a second screen for a computer. And Apple announced what it called its most powerful computer yet, an upgraded Mac Pro priced at $6,000.
