Connecticut Q2 GDP in dumps
The Connecticut economy grew at a sluggish 1 percent in the second quarter, the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported Thursday, trailing most neighboring states and the nation as a whole. BEA includes both the production of goods and services in its estimates of gross domestic product, with Texas leading the nation with a 4.7 percent surge in GDP between April and June, and New York tops in the east at 1.7 percent. New Jersey was just behind Maine for the slowest growth regionally at 0.7 percent, with Hawaii last nationally at 0.5 percent.
