Notable: WestConn’s postseason hopes vanished in the past two weeks with backtoback losses against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the MASCAC, leaving the Colonials to play out the stretch and hope to finish with a second straight 82 season. The loss to UMassDartmouth last week included a struggling passing attack for the first time this year, though WestConn failed on a twopoint conversion that would have tied the game at 1414 early in the fourth quarter. Colonials quarterbacks went a combined 14for46 for 175 yards and will hope to bounce back against a Fitchburg squad that broke a sixgame losing streak last week.
