Big East tournament dates and TV times set

Mohegan Sun will host the the Big East women’s basketball tournament on March 5-8, but fans won’t be allowed in the building, the conference announced Friday.

Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, the Big East Digital Network, available on FloSports, and Westwood One Radio will combine to broadcast all 10 games from Uncasville.

The tournament will tip off March 5 with the first round. Three games will be played that day, beginning at 11 a.m. with the No. 8-9 game.

The quarterfinals start March 6. Barring any upsets, UConn will earn the top seed and play that day at noon. Play continues March 7 with the semifinals at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled for March 8 at 8 p.m. on FS1. The winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
