Two more have added their names to the list of competitors at this year’s Travelers Championship.

Paul Casey and Jason Day committed Wednesday morning and join the seven other golfers already committed to playing: Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson, Marc Leishman, Justin Rose and reigning champion Dustin Johnson.

The Championship is scheduled for June 21-27 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

“Paul and Jason have both played well at our tournament over the years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them near the top of the leaderboard again this year,” Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said in Wednesday’s release.

This will be Casey’s seventh straight appearance playing at TPC River Highlands, after most recently finishing top five in 2019 and 2017, while tying for second in 2018. He owns three PGA Tour victories (2009 at the Shell Houston Open, 2018 and 2019 at the Valspar Championship) and 15 wins on the European Tour, including the 2021 Omega Dubai Desert Classic. As a member of the European Team, Casey, who is currently ranked No. 20 in the world, has competed in four Ryder Cups.

Day’s best finish at TPC River Highlands was in 2019 when he tied for eighth. This year’s Travelers will be his seventh time competing at the course. Day, from Australia, is a 12-time winner on the PGA Tour, highlighted by winning his first major title with his victory at the 2015 PGA Championship. That same year, he earned his first No. 1 ranking in the Official World of Golf after winning consecutive playoff events. He held the No. 1 spot for 51 weeks. Currently, he is ranked No. 59.

“We always strive to have the best players from around the world in the field, which helps the event achieve its ultimate goal of generating significant funds for charity,” said Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers, in Wednesday’s release. “Paul and Jason have established themselves as two of the biggest names in golf, and they add even more competition to a strong group of players who have already committed to play at TPC River Highlands.”
