Games to watch

FCIAC tournament final at Fairfield Warde, Thursday, 7 p.m.: It was a long night at the semifinals Monday, both games going to penalty kicks and both seeded underdogs advancing, No. 4 Staples vs. No. 6 Wilton. That only shows what we already knew: the FCIAC is the state’s deepest league.

SCC tournament final at West Haven, Thursday, 5:30 p.m.: It will be the first year since 2007 that neither Hand, Guilford or Shelton are playing in the championship game. Sacred Heart Academy was the lone conference unbeaten dring the regular season.
