Medical doctor to be featured in free talk

The Keystone Place at Wooster Heights is sponsoring two in-person, free author talks by Dr. Andrew Budson on Tuesday as part of Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month.

Budson’s talk will be based his book “Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory,” as well as his latest book, “Six Steps to Managing Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia.” The event is also based on “Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory.”

One session will take place at noon, and will be repeated at 5 p.m.

A free lunch or dinner will be served, depending on the session. Seating is limited, and reservatio­ns are required, amid the coronaviru­s pandemic.

Keystone Place at Wooster Heights is an independen­t living, assisted living and memory care community located at 66 Wooster Heights Road in Danbury.

Budson was previously educated at the Haverford College in Haverford, Pa. and the Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Mass.

He is the chief of the cognitive and behavioral neurology department at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System, the director of education at the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center, professor of the neurology department at the Boston University School of Medicine, and a lecturer in neurology at the Harvard Medical School.

Budson has also been featured on many podcasts and news outlets, including The New York Times. Budson has presented at various venues across the U.S.
