Police: Missing Stamford man found dead in Redding
REDDING — The body of a missing Stamford man was found Tuesday afternoon near the West Redding Train Station, police said.
Shin Maeno, 28, was reported missing on Nov. 18 by his wife and coworker, and was last seen around 2 p.m. the day before near the Post Office at the West Redding Train Station, Stamford police said.
Stamford police said Maeno was found Tuesday afternoon off Sidecut Road.
“The investigation is still active, but there are no signs of foul play at this time,” police Capt. Diedrich Hohn said in a statement.
His body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
Diedrich said Maeno was found by members of the Connecticut State Police search-and-rescue unit.
Westport police and the Metropolitan Transit Authority police were also involved in the search, according to Redding Police Chief Mark O’Donnell.
