Devon Bushka, Holy Cross: Assisted on two of Holy Cross’ goals to earn game MVP laurels in the Crusaders’ 3-2 won over Northwest Catholic in the Class S state final.

Emily Nicholas, Northwest Catholic: Had a hat trick in the Class S semifinals, a 4-0 win over Coginchaug.

Mercy and Sacred Heart Academy defenses: Mercy posted a shutout in the

Class M semifinals against Granby (3-0) and Sacred Heart Academy did the same against Notre Dame-Fairfield (1-0). It was a 0-0 tie between the two SCC rivals in Saturday’s M final that went two overtime periods, resulting in a co-state championship.

Staples defense: Posted shutouts in the last three games of the Class LL state tournament, against Farmington in the quarterfinals (1-0 in overtime), Fairfield Warde in the semifinals (1-0) and Wilton in the final (0-0, 2 OT), earning a co-state championship with Wilton.
