NEW CANAAN — The death and disappearance of Jennifer Dulos will be featured on CNN Headline News on Sunday.

The episode of “Real Life Nightmare” will air on CNN Headline News at 9 p.m. Sunday.

The 50-year-old New Canaan mother was last seen after dropping off her five children at school around 8 a.m. on May 24, 2019. Her body has never been found, but she has been presumed dead based on blood evidence found in the garage of her home, according to arrest warrants in the case.

Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, died in January 2020, several weeks after he was charged with murder, kidnapping and other charges in connection with the disappearance. His former girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution in the case.

Fotis Dulos’ former attorney and longtime friend, Kent Mawhinney, has also pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.

In arrest warrants, police have accused Troconis and

Mahwinney of trying to create an alibi for Fotis Dulos while he was “lying in wait” for his estranged wife to return home that morning. Troconis has also been accused of helping Fotis Dulos discard evidence and take a pickup truck police believe was used in the crime to a car wash several days later, according to arrest warrants.

The Headline News show will feature an interview with Jennifer Dulos’ close friends, including Carrie Luft, who has served as the spokesperson for the family and friends since the disappearance. The show highlights the disappearance, as well as the history between Fotis and Jennifer Dulos, who first met in college, but started a relationship after seeing each other years later.

The two lived in an upscale home in Farmington before Jennifer Dulos filed for divorce in June 2017. She then moved with the couple’s five children to New Canaan.

“A lot of people who were quite close to Jennifer found the speed of her relationship with Fotis, the speed with which they got married, just out of character for her because she was always a very measured person,” Luft says in a trailer for the episode.

The CNN Headline News feature will be the latest show to document the crime that has drawn international headlines. Earlier this year, A+E Networks’ Lifetime Television produced a TV movie, “Gone Mom: The Disappearance of Jennifer Dulos,” and a one-hour documentary, “Beyond the Headlines: The Jennifer Dulos Story.” A+E Networks is a joint venture between Hearst and The Walt Disney Company.
