‘Jingle Bell Horse Parade’ to be held
The Newtown Bridle Land Association and the Connecticut state Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard, are collaborating this holiday season to bring the “Jingle Bell Horse Parade” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday on the Fairfield Hills Campus.
Riders and horses donned in holiday bells and holiday attire will start the parade route leaving the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard facility at 4 Wildlife Drive in Newtown, at 11 a.m., and go across the Wasserman Way in the town, to the Farfield Hills Complex, and making a final stop at the location of the Farmers Market field, at Keating Avenue, to greet visitors, sing holiday carols, and collect non-perishable food items, and sundried items, to be donated to be local charitable organizations for distribution to people in need in the community.
