‘Jingle Bell Horse Parade’ to be held

The Newtown Bridle Land Associatio­n and the Connecticu­t state Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard, are collaborat­ing this holiday season to bring the “Jingle Bell Horse Parade” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday on the Fairfield Hills Campus.

Riders and horses donned in holiday bells and holiday attire will start the parade route leaving the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard facility at 4 Wildlife Drive in Newtown, at 11 a.m., and go across the Wasserman Way in the town, to the Farfield Hills Complex, and making a final stop at the location of the Farmers Market field, at Keating Avenue, to greet visitors, sing holiday carols, and collect non-perishable food items, and sundried items, to be donated to be local charitable organizati­ons for distributi­on to people in need in the community.
