Brookfield man charged in Newtown hit-and-run
NEWTOWN — A Brookfield man is facing charges stemming from a hit-and-run on Church Hill Road two months ago that seriously injured a bicyclist.
Sazo Ajdinoski turned himself in to Newtown police on an outstanding warrant for his arrest last Wednesday.
The 49-year-old was involved in an Oct. 2 crash on Church Hill Road, during which authorities say he made an improper turn, struck a bicyclist and left the scene.
Police said the bicyclist sustained “serious physical injury.”
Ajdinoski has been charged with evading responsibility and making an improper turn, as well as interfering with an officer/ resisting arrest.
He was released after posting 10 percent of a $500 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at state Superior Court in Danbury on Dec. 15, according to police.
