City man accused of break-in, restrainin­g woman pleads not guilty

DANBURY — The city man accused of physically assaulting and threatenin­g to kill a woman after breaking into her home three months ago pleaded not guilty to the two felony and four misdemeano­r charges brought against him.

Apolinar Vazquez was arrested Oct. 20, on a warrant following the alleged September incident and charged with firstdegre­e unlawful restraint, first-degree reckless endangerme­nt, first-degree burglary, second-degree threatenin­g, thirddegre­e assault and disorderly conduct.

The 41-year-old pleaded not guilty to all charges and is next scheduled to appear at state Superior Court in Danbury on Jan. 13.

Vazquez remains held at the Bridgeport Correction­al Center on $150,000 bond.
