NO. 1 AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT

The last two seasons two teams, Notre Dame-Fairfield and NFA have been the only two teams to hold the top spot in the GameTimeCT Poll.

Unlike other No.1 teams, neither has won a state championship with the 2020 tournament halted and no tournaments last season.

Notre Dame is once again going to open this season as the No.1 ranked team and is hoping with a senior-dominant team to finally get a shot to go to Mohegan Sun.

NFA was 13-0 last season and won the ECC D-1 title but could go no further. They finished with 10 of the 17 first-place votes.

Notre Dame was No. 2 with three first-place votes and Ridgefield (16-0 FCIAC champions) picked up four first-place votes.
