An article published on A1 in Monday’s News-Times incorrectly stated that two structures on New Street in Ridgefield were razed without permits. Only the house at 8 New St. was razed; the garage at 10 New St. is still standing. The story also indicated that the builder would have paid a maximum $500 fine pursuant to state statutes. He actually would have paid a maximum $1,000 fine pursuant to the state’s building code.
