Ann (Thompson) Clark of Mansfield, formerly of Foxboro, passed away at her home while surrounded by family on December 11, 2021 at the age of 85. She was the loving wife of Floyd R. Clark for 60 years.

Born in Danbury, CT on March 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Helen (Staffey) Thompson. She attended local schools, graduating from Danbury High School, Class of 1953. She continued her education at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French in 1957 and pursued further education at Middlebury College, Colgate University and Hollins College.

Ann taught at Proctor High in Utica, NY, until her marriage on February 4, 1961. Ann enjoyed being a Cub Scout den mother for her son, Russell, and a Girl Scout leader for her daughter, Phyllis. She also taught Sunday School for a few years. In 1966, Ann joined the Language Department at Foxboro High School, where she taught Spanish and French classes until 1985.

Besides her loving husband, Floyd, she is survived by her son, Russell and his wife, Dianne, of Attleboro; her daughter, Phyllis Clark Saunders and her husband, Jonathan, of Niskayuna, NY; and her cousins: Starr Herscovitc­h of Wilton, CT, Robert Staffey and Arline Ciofani of Bridgeport, CT, Lucy Felser of Exeter, PA, Patricia McGeney of Plainfield, IN and Beth Fuhrman of Naperville, IL.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend an hour of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. Funeral Services in the funeral home will begin at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope, Attleboro (new-hope.org).
