37 students inducted into National Honor Society
Immaculate High School recently inducted 37 students into the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapter of the National Honor Society at a ceremony at the Amber Room Colonnade.
Inducted students are required to have a minimum 3.5 grade point average. They must also have a leadership role in either the school or the community, inspire positive behavior in others, have served at least 75 hours if they are junior students, or 100 hours of community service if they are senior students. They must consistently demonstrate respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring and good citizenship.
Membership is offered to the juniors and seniors, who meet the criteria that has been established by the National Association of Secondary School Principals in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Students are expected to uphold the criteria of excellence in all four of the areas once they are accepted into the chapter.
