Blame the unvaccinated
Dan Haar’s recent column about getting on with life, and another one about vaccine passports, both miss the big picture. We are only potentially one mutation away from a vaccine-resistant, highlycontagious, super-deadly COVID strain.
The only reason this event remains viable is because of the selfishness of the unvaccinated population. We should be more concerned about those of us who considered the common good and are vaccinated, rather than lamenting inconveniencing the unvaccinated because of their refusal to acknowledge how their selfish actions impact the general population. The unvaccinated truly have blood on their hands and this is the only reason this pandemic is unending.
We should be as concerned about protecting those of us who considered the common good and are vaccinated. As far as I’m concerned if you’re unvaccinated you should have to hear a COVID symbol, ala Hester Prynne, so people know who to avoid. Or better yet, there should be a forced quarantine of the unvaccinated until the pandemic subsides. Overly harsh, maybe, but what about the continuing mayhem caused by the unvaccinated?
