Sandy Hook lawsuits

- — Rob Ryser

Sandy Hook families who sued conspiracy extremist Alex Jones in Connecticut won their case by default, a state Superior Court judge ruled on Nov. 15.

Eight families who lost loved ones in the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting and an FBI agent who responded to the scene won the fourth defamation case against Jones.

In 2012 the Texas-based host of “Infowars” called the tragedy a “staged,” “synthetic,” “manufactured,” “a giant hoax” and “completely fake with actors.”

Jones has since said that he doesn't believe those statements anymore.

Previous to the Connecticut case, three parents won separate defamation cases against Jones in a Texas court. Both the Texas and Connecticut cases are expected to go to juries to determine damages.
