Danbury Fair mall shooting
An altercation involving at least eight people on Aug. 11 at the Danbury Fair mall led to the shooting of a 15-year-old girl and the arrest of a 14-year-old boy.
The teen turned himself in and was charged with first-degree assault, firstdegree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace, according to Lt. Adam Marcus.
The boy was ordered remanded at Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.
The victim was taken by medics to Danbury Hospital and later transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford with non-life-threatening injuries.
