Library to host program on electric cars

-

The Danbury Library is virtually presenting a live virtual presentation called “Join the E(lectric) V(ehicle)-olution! Plug into Electric Cars” at 11 a.m. Thursday. The event will be held over Zoom.

Fran Mayko, spokeswoman with AAA, is presenting the program. Mayko has many years of experience teaching driving classes in Connecticut.

The library invites all people to learn about the differences between electric vehicles, and conventional gas powered cars, and why electric vehicles are less expensive to operate and maintain.

The presentation will also dive into the technology behind the shift to electric, the models that are available in the U.S., and how people use, and charge their electric vehicles.

Registration is required for the free event. Register through the events calendar on the Danbury Library’s website at danburylibrary.org, or call the library at 203-799-4505, extension 7743.

Also, email registration, ask any questions about the program, or about Zoom, to Yan Toma of the library’s information services department at ytoma@danburylibrary.org.

The presentation will be followed by an attendee question, and answer session.
