GAMES TO WATCH

St. Joseph at Greenwich (Hamill), Tuesday, 4:30 p.m.: The Cadets have taken two top-10 teams to overtime in the past week. This will be their fourth of five top-10 opponents in a row.

Darien at New Canaan (Darien Ice), Wednesday, 4:20 p.m.: We got yelled at for saying “need we say more” about this rivalry a few years ago, but well. They’re two of the top three in the GameTimeCT poll and are unbeaten instate in the early going.

East Haven at West Haven, Wednesday, 6 p.m.: It has been a stellar start for the Yellowjackets, and they’ll meet their only Division I foe of the season on Wednesday at Bennett.

Newington co-op at Hall (Veterans), Wednesday, 7:20 p.m.: Un-co-opped Hall has won a couple in a row after its first loss to Tri-Town. Next up is a game against a team that has often been among the tops in Division III and may be again.

Ridgefield at Fairfield (Wonderland), Wednesday, 8:15 p.m.: The unbeaten, untied Mustangs face their toughest opponent yet.

Northwest Catholic at Xavier (Champions), Saturday, 2:30 p.m.: Another top-10 matchup. The Lions are 2-1-1 against Division I, with both victories over Simsbury. All of Xavier’s games have been against DI foes.

Notre Dame-West Haven at Mount Saint Charles (R.I.), 7 p.m.: The first of two games in a row for the Green Knights against top Rhode Island teams. Bishop Hendricken comes down to Bennett next week.

Greenwich at Ridgefield (Winter Garden), Saturday, 8:30 p.m.: It has been a tough start for Greenwich, but there’ve been no patsies on the Cardinals’ schedule. This opponent is anything but easy, too.
