Labeling firm acquires Calif. competitor
GUILFORD — A Carter Drive label maker has signed an agreement to acquire a California-based competitor.
Terms of the deal between Brook + Whittle and Paradigm Label of Mira Loma, Calif., were not released. When the deal is completed, Brook + Whittle will employ more than 1,200 people across nine production facilities and serve over 4,000 customers.
Mark Pollard, CEO of Brook + Whittle, said the acquisition “further strengthens our West Coast presence and strengthens our ability to deliver the fastest lead-times in the industry.”
“We are thrilled to have another location in California to support our growing customer base,” Pollard said in a statement. Brook + Whittle already had a California production facility in Anaheim.
Brook + Whittle was founded in 1995. The company has one other Connecticut location, in North Branford.
Brook + Whittle went on an acquisition spree after a New York City-based private equity firm, Snow Phipps Group, acquired a majority stake in the Guilford company.
Between October 2017, when Snow Phipps Group made its investment, and October 2020, Brook & Whittle acquired five other labeling industry firms.
