Southbury police look to ID shopliftin­g suspect

SOUTHBURY — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifyin­g a woman who allegedly stole beer from a local grocery store last week.

The incident occurred Thursday at ShopRite in the Southbury Green plaza off Main Street South.

Police say the female suspect walked out of the store with $173 worth of beer that she did not pay for and got into a white Acura SUV with a New York license plate.
