Bethel to host social emotional learning forum for parents
BETHEL — A panel of educational leaders will guide a discussion on parents' role in social emotional learning next week.
The open forum, sponsored and moderated by the Bethel Action Committee and Independent Party Town Committee, will take place Monday at 7 p.m. in the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center's general purpose room.
Panelists will include
Bethel resident and fifth grade teacher Kim Houlker Romero, sixth grade teacher and Constitution State Educators founder Michael Costanza, constitutional, appellate and education law attorney Deborah G. Stevenson, parent advocate and Greenwich Patriots founder Jackie Homan, Wilton Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Smith.
The event will be livestreamed on the Bethel Action Committee's YouTube channel.
