TOP PERFORMANCES Lena Barthel, East Haven:

The catcher had a home run and a double in East Haven’s decisive 15-2 win over conference rival Cheshire. Barthel had three RBIs and three runs to lead the offense.

Emilee Bishop, East Haven:

Bishop earned the win against Cheshire, striking out 11 batters and allowing one earned run on three hits. She also doubled twice with an RBI and three runs. She went 6-for-10 on the week with a home run, while striking out 27 batters over three games.

Cassidy Doiron, Woodland:

Went 4-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBIs in Woodland’s 13-0 win over Kennedy. She also homered against Seymour, driving in three runs and scoring twice.

Niamh Dougherty, St. Joseph: The shortstop had a monster day against Darien, hitting three home runs with seven RBIs and four runs. In three games she went 5for-9 with six runs, 11 RBIs and four home runs.

Camryn Fisher, Ellington:

Fisher went 2-0 on the week, striking out 21 batters over nine innings while allowing no earned runs. She now has a 0.79 ERA with 156 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched.

Kat Gallant, Masuk: The Masuk ace threw a complete game shutout against Southington to hand the Blue Knights their first loss of the season followed by a shutout of Pomperaug. She struck out 25 batters and allowed just three hits in 12 innings.

Anna Gedacht, Fairfield Ludlowe:

While usually splitting games with fellow pitcher Alex Lewey, Gedacht took advantage of her first full game, throwing a nohitter against Wilton. She struck out 10 batters and walked none.

Riley Kane and Sam Sosnovich, Woodland: Both Kane and Sosnovich threw a no-hitters this week. Kane struck out seven Seymour batters and walked just one while Sosnovich struck out 11 Kennedy batters in a perfect game.

Natalie Lieto, Masuk: The sophomore hit two home runs in Masuk’s 6-0 win over Southington, two home runs in a 17-1 win over Weston and two more home runs against Pomperaug. Six home runs in three games with 12 RBIs and nine runs scored brings her season slash line to .559/ .606/.1.152 with nine home runs and 20 RBIs.

Kiley Mullins, North Branford: In a crucial game between two of the top teams in the Shoreline, Mullins shutout Coginchaug in a 9-0 victory. She struck out nine batters and allowed just three hits and one walk in the victory.

Haley Pucci, Danbury: The senior went 2-0, including a no-hitter against Westhill. Pucci struck out 31 batters in 14 innings, allowing just two hits and one run. She struck out 17 in the no-hitter and walked just one.

Sam Rogers, Southington:

Rogers went 6-for-10 with five runs, seven RBIs, a home run and three walks during Southington’s 3-1 week.

Brooke Tracy, Glastonbury: The Glastonbury ace shutout Wethersfield 8-0, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning. She struck out 17 batters in the game.

Lauren Wasikowski, St. Joseph:

The senior threw two complete game shutouts and a total of 15 shutout innings, allowing just three hits and no walks while striking out 31.

GAMES TO WATCH

East Haven at Amity, Wednesday, 4:15 p.m.: The first time these teams met this season, Amity defeated East Haven 1-0. Bishop and East Haven will look to keep its winning streak going and get some revenge.

Masuk at Newtown, Wednesday, 4:30 p.m.: The top two teams in the SWC will go head-to-head as Newtown looks to be the first conference team to hand Masuk a loss. Without its slugger Bri Pellicone, the task will be made even more difficult.

Bristol Central at Southington, Wednesday, 4:45

p.m.: Bristol Central has won nine games in a row to improve to 16-2. Currently second in the CCC standings, Bristol Central will see how it stacks up to No. 4 Southington.

Jonathan Law at North Haven, Thursday, 7 p.m.:

Jonathan Law has won 14 straight games since losing to North Haven in the third game of the season. Now atop the SCC standings, Law will look to avenge its lone loss.

Southington at Waterford, Friday, 4:45 p.m.:

No. 4 Southington will travel to No. 7 Waterford as Maddie Burrows and Waterford will see if they can do what only Masuk has been able to do, outscore the prolific Southington offense.

Hall at Southington, Monday, 5:30 p.m.:

When these teams met earlier in the season, Southington had its way with Hall. On Monday, No. 8 Hall will look to defeat Southington after losing four straight dating back to last year.
