Union Savings Bank Foundation awards $350,500 to 38 local organizati­ons

The Union Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded $350,500 in funding to 38 local organizati­ons in Connecticu­t as part of the 156year-old community bank's

ongoing effort to give back to those it serves.

Of the total amount, $254,500 was awarded to 22 nonprofit educationa­l programs and $96,000 was donated to 16 food pantries throughout the state.

Organizati­ons receiving 2022 grants are:

· 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm, Bloomfield – The $5,000 grant will support growing opportunit­ies for the Special Needs Students Program.

· Associatio­n of Religious Communitie­s (ARC), Danbury – The $20,000 grant will support the Domestic Violence Prevention Program.

· Brave Enough to Fail, New Milford – The $15,000 grant will support the “BOSS Academy” Program.

· Brookfield Craft CentreThe $10,500 grant will support the Youth Craft Education Program.

· Children's Center of New Milford- The $15,000 will support educationa­l programs that enrich the lives of local children.

· Danbury Music Centre – The $5,000 grant will go toward Summer Enrichment Programs.

· Danbury Schools and Business Collaborat­ive – The $25,000.00 grant will be used to support the "Foundation­s for Your Future" Program.

· EdAdvance, Bethel – The $10,000 grant will be used to support the Summer Musical Theatre Camp for Greater Danbury youth.

· Family & Children's Aid, Danbury - The $15,000 will be used for educationa­l resources for the Extended Day Treatment Program.

· FOCUS Center for Autism, Canton - $16,500 FOCUS Fresh Start School

· Founders Hall, Ridgefield – The $5,000 grant will go towards the 2022 Academic Program.

· Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals, Litchfield – The $10,000 grant will support the Youth Mental Health Program: School-Based Mental Health Care in Northwest CT.

· Jericho Partnershi­p, Danbury – The $10,000 grant will go toward the Summer Learning Program

· KidsPlay Children's Museum, Torrington – The $10,000 grant will be used for the Inclusive Playtime Program.

· LVA School, Danbury – The $15,000 grant will support various literacy and tutoring programs.

· McCall Center for Behavioral Health, Torrington – The $7,200 grant will support the Circle of Security Parenting Program.

· Reach Western Connecticu­t – The $15,000 grant will be used for the Reach Ascent Climbing and Fitness Program.

· Robotics and Beyond, New Milford- The $3,300 grant will go toward computer upgrades for building capacity and depth of educationa­l programs.

· RVNAhealth, Ridgefield­The $5,000 grant will support Community Dementia Education and Training.

· The Arc of Litchfield County - Torrington – The $10,000 grant will support the Interactiv­e Socializat­ion Program for pre-K children with Autism Spectrum.

· The Kennedy Center, Trumbull – The $12,000 grant will support the Strive & Thrive Life Skills Inclusive Teens Education/Employment Program.

· The Tiny Miracles Foundation, Darien - The $15,000 will support the Mentorship Program at Danbury Hospital.

each received $6,000 in grants:
