WHAT TO LOOK FOR: Old Saybrook was undefeated before losing to East Hampton 3-2 in the season finale on Oct. 28 … East Hampton did not lose a game inside the Shoreline this season on the way to the school's first conference title. The lone loss for the Bellringers came to ECC opponent East Lyme 2-1 …East Hampton centerback Brennan Johnson scored 23 goals this season while anchoring a defense that posted 10 shutouts … The goal Old Saybrook allowed to Oxford in the semifinals is the only goal it has conceded this tournament.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: Old Saybrook has a chance to do something in Class S which has not been done since the 1980s: win fourstraight state championships. The last team to win four straight in Class S was Granby from 1984-87. Hand accomplished the fourpeat in Class L from 2016-2019 … Old Saybrook coach Steve Waters won his 10th state championship last season, but first with the Rams. The state's career coaching victories leader won his other nine titles at Farmington. He is believed to be the only boys soccer coach with state titles in all four classes.
