Handel’s Messiah to be performed
The Danbury Concert Chorus and members of the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, with guest conductor Christine R. Howlett, will perform Handel’s Messiah at First Congregational Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
Admission is free, though donations are accepted at the door. The concert is sponsored by Preferred Utilities and Toni K. and John Pepe.
The performance features soloists Gileann Tan, soprano; Jacqueline Matava, alto; Ryan Lustgarten, tenor; and Edwin Davis, bass.Since 1956, Danbury Music Centre has presented Handel’s Messiah for the community. This holiday tradition returns in person for the first time since 2019.
