Guy was born October 18th, 1970, in Haifa, Israel. He began his musical journey taking piano lessons at the music conservatory in Haifa at the age of seven. Even as a young child, he naturally connected with classical music and his gifts blossomed to become a central and meaningful part of his life. He connected deeply with the music and the people who taught it to him. He formed profound, lifelong relationships with his teachers.

Guy served in the Israeli Defense Force as a paramedic. Following his army service, he pursued a musical education in the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv University, earning his Bachelor of Music and arts degree in voice. He continued his studies at the Vienna Conservatory in Vienna, Austria and followed his heart and musical dreams to New York City. In 2001, he began his studies at the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, combining his love of music with his love of Education, Jewish Philosophy, and wisdom. Guy always surrounded himself with the music he adored, he loved listening and interpreting it, delving into it, reading about it, and teaching it. He never ceased to study and expand his palate of knowledge, musically and the arts, always in service of the greater purpose of connection and to enrich the lives of others through learning and relationships. He awakened his community's thirst for learning and cultivated friendships with people of all ages. Those who experienced music through Guy's eyes, or studied with him, would fall in love with their experience. His love of music was palpable, and his knowledge infinite. He humbly taught and shared generously all that he had to give; he gave of himself selflessly always.

Guy is survived by his beloved Mother Dinah, his brother Tzachi and his wife Galit and their three children, and his adored son Ben. His family and many friends will miss him dearly.
