A look at some of the top performanc­es from high school football in Tuesday’s CIAC quarterfin­als:

Class LL

Charlie Dixon, Greenwich: Caught a second-quarter touchdown pass and had an intercepti­on among several defensive plays in a 47-7 win over Hamden.

Jonathan Hall, Trumbull: Filling in for injured Rowan Johnston, ran for 232 yards and five touchdowns on 33 carries in a 34-25 win over No. 1 Southingto­n.

Jon Morris, Fairfield Prep: Broke up a potential game-winning touchdown pass in the final seconds to help preserve a 23-22 win over Staples.

Jack Petrone, Glastonbur­y: Ran for 138 of the Guardians’ 293 rushing yards and helped hold West Haven’s offense in check in a 17-7 Glastonbur­y win.

Class L

John De Camps, Shelton: Caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Michael Kinik on the first play of the fourth quarter that, with Jake Ferreira’s extra point, gave the Gaels the lead in a 21-20 victory at Newtown.

Matt Jeffery, Cheshire: Caught two touchdown passes, including a 79-yard catch to open the scoring and the goahead 62-yard touchdown in the third quarter; threw a touchdown pass; and intercepte­d a St. Joseph pass in the Rams’ 24-14 win over the top seed.

Donte Kelly, Maloney: Ran a punt back 57 yards for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass and had two intercepti­ons in a 27-7 win over New Milford.

Hunter Telesco, New Canaan: After having an apparent 77-yard tiebreakin­g touchdown run called back for an illegal block, he went 65 yards for the tiebreakin­g touchdown run on the next play in a 17-7 win over Naugatuck.

Class MM

Jason Champagne, Masuk: Ran for two touchdowns and converted a twopoint conversion run in a 46-6 win over Northwest United.

Jeff Karavas, North Haven: Ran for 74 yards and a touchdown and had a goalline intercepti­on in a 50-0 win over Thames River.

Tommy McKiernan, Wilton: Caught the game-winning touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter of a 13-7 win over top-seeded SMSA.

Soren Rief, Killingly: Threw a 44-yard halfback-option touchdown pass to Ben Jax and ran for three touchdowns in a 34-13 win over Wethersfie­ld.

Class M

Luke Maguder, Berlin: His 56-yard touchdown run to start the second half put the Redcoats ahead for good in a 35-25 win over Branford.

John Neider, Law: Ran for 236 yards and touchdowns of 59 and 68 yards, threw for 54 yards and a touchdown, and caught a touchdown pass in a 42-13 win over RHAM.

Brady Ramsdell, Rockville: Involved in all four touchdowns, running for the first and throwing three to three different receivers, in a 28-7 win over Abbott Tech/Immaculate.

Jacob Staton, Notre Dame-West Haven:

Ran for 140 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 win over Hartford Public.

Class SS

Freddie Camp, Gilbert/Northweste­rn/Housatonic: Ran for two touchdowns, caught a long touchdown pass and returned an intercepti­on for a touchdown in a 34-0 win over secondseed­ed Windham.

Alex Hair, Cromwell/Portland: Ran for two touchdowns, then caught the touchdown pass from Cole Brisson that put the team ahead for good, in a 43-34 win over Ledyard.

Jacob Rand, Valley Regional/Old Lyme: Scored on a 26-yard run in the second quarter to put his team up 13 points, then ran an intercepti­on back 50 yards to finish off a 26-13 win over Foran.

Danny Shaban, Barlow: Ran for touchdowns of 32 and 5 yards and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Taylor (who’d scored the first touchdown on the ground) in a 28-14 win over Granby/Canton.

Class S

Marques Campbell, Holy Cross: Caught a first-quarter touchdown pass and ran for over 200 yards with four second-half touchdowns in a comefrom-behind 42-36 win over New Fairfield.

David Cassetti, Ansonia: Scored on three short touchdown runs and an 11-yard pass from Chris Kaminski in the first half of a 43-13 win over North Branford.

Davion Kerr, Bloomfield: Elusive cross-field run after catching a pass from Darrien Foster turned into a long touchdown and a 14-point lead on the way to a 42-21 win over Seymour.

Mason Mastropiet­ro, Woodland: Ran for over 200 yards with two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown in a 35-0 win over East Catholic.
