Donations to aid effort to reduce food waste

Sustainable Southbury, nonprofit, is raising funds under the Sustainable CT Community Match program which will be used to finance its new initiatives to broaden and improve the waste management system in town.

Sustainable Southbury’s goal is to raise $6,000 from this fundraising campaign, which will unlock $6,000 in a matching grant from Sustainable CT funds. These funds will be used to work with local restaurants to reduce their food waste and recycle what they cannot donate and develop drop-off sites for residents to bring their food scraps.
