Deadline extended to provide gifts for families in need

Jesse Lee Church has extended its deadline to receive items for its Shoebox Gift Drive.

The deadline was moved to Dec. 8 because the church learned the need for the gifts, which are distributed to community members, has increased 40 percent since last year.

The church is working with Ridgefield Social Services and the Association of Religious Communities in Danbury to provide holiday gifts for seniors and kids in the community.

Visit jesseleechurch.com/shoebox for the updated sign-up sheet that has the revised number of gifts needed for each age group and gender. Donors will find instructions for creating their shoebox gift on this webpage as well. Please drop off completed shoebox gifts at the Main Street entrance to Jesse Lee Church by Dec. 8.
