Scholarship to support students

Danbury

A new scholarship has launched to benefit local students.

Beginning in the spring of 2023, the Jordan Family Foundation will award four-year higher education scholarships of $5,000 per year to college-bound students who live in Danbury. The scholarship program was created in 2022 in order to support Danbury’s student leaders to achieve their college, career and community goals. In addition to the Jordan Family Foundation, the Mosaic Coalition and Latinos for Educational Advocacy and Diversity are involved in the scholarship.

A dinner will be held on Friday, Dec. 9 to celebrate the launch of the scholarship. The event is from 6 to 10 p.m. at 358 Main St.
