Ridgefield celebrates the season with annual Holiday Stroll
RIDGEFIELD — Crowds turned out for Ridgefield’s 22nd annual Holiday Stroll, a two-day event that offered a variety of festive activities for the whole family to enjoy.
It took place the evening of Dec. 2, under the twinkling lights, and during the day on Dec. 3.
The beloved holiday tradition in Ridgefield featured holiday musical performances, horse and carriage rides, strolling carolers, toy soldiers, ice sculptures, special events at stores and more.
The daytime event offered family friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, toy soldiers, magic show, strolling carolers, holiday music and breakfast with Santa.
Many local businesses and venues offered refreshments and special deals to shoppers.
At the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, “mannequin” dancers from “The Nutcracker” performed in the windows.
Visitors could also explore the Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center for free. The tavern is decorated for the holidays, with greenery and candles creating a festive atmosphere throughout the rooms. Costumed interpreters told stories about the site’s former residents and collections.
At the Berkshire Hathaway office, visitors could see Santa Claus — and the Grinch.
