12 state soccer players named All-American

Cheshire soccer players Samir Dishnica and Gabby Tirado were among Connecticut players named all-American Monday by the United Soccer Coaches this season.

Other state players joining Dishnica on the All-American team are: Daniel Istambouli from South Kent, Lucas Almeida from Hall, Owen Bull from Trumbull and Andreas Shaboo from Bethel. Bull and Shaboo are juniors.

Joining Tirado on the Girls all-American team are: Melina Ford from Mercy, Charlotte Kemp from Ridgefield, Jillian Gregorski from Westminster, Diana Jedrychowski from Farmington, Joy Okonye from Canterbury and Alexa Pino from St. Joseph.
