Mark R. Wilton

Mark R. Wilton, age 61, of Roxbury, passed away on November 7, 2022 in Bangor ME.

He was born August 14, 1961 in New Milford Hospital to parents James and Susan Wilton. He grew up in Roxbury with his two brothers, Scott and Kenny and a great group of lifelong friends. He attended Shepaug schools. Mark worked for Yankee Gas for 35 years retiring in 2021 as Chief Gas Distribution Mechanic.

Mark will be remembered by all as the life of every party and someone everyone considered a friend. He was a collector of tractors and other working equipment. He would spend his winters snowmobiling up north and his summers either traveling in his RV down south or on his friend’s boat in Newport, RI. or taking trips on his motorcycle. He always loved going to Maine to spend time at the family cabin. He recently purchased a house in Ashland, Maine where he planned to spend time with his many friends up there.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Pickett Wilton, brother Kenneth and Mari, brother Scott and Scott’s children Sara, Kyle and Jake.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at The Roxbury Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Roxbury Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 94, Roxbury, CT 06783.
