Wrestlers grapple at Grizzly Shakedown
Nanook wrestlers traveled to Anchorage over the weekend for the annual Grace Christian wrestling tournament called the Grizzly Shakedown. Natallie Tobuk led the way with a third place in the 112 lbs Girls category. Wrestling to fourth place were Karis Evans at 125 lbs Girls and Stephan Anderson at 160 lbs.
This weekend Nome-Beltz High will host the Regional Championships. Competing will be teams from Barrow, Kotzebue, Nome, Buckland, Kivalina, Noatak, Kiana, Selawik, Gambell, Koyuk, Brevig Mission, Shishmaref, Shaktoolik, St. Michael’s, Savoonga, Teller, Unalakleet, Stebbins and Golovin.
